THE CORONER'S INTER
by Shirley Waugh, Midwest City, OK
(Winner of 25 buttons)

"You never checked his pulse or breath.
Not one eye was peered in.
How did you know that he was dead?
Did you even listen to his chest?

"Aha'-ha-ha, you young squirt,
I know for sure he's dead.
His brain is in the jar on my desk,
And not inside his head!
Aha'-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha."

The Airport
by Peggy Eyler, Falling Waters, WV
(Winner of 25 buttons)

I found my self driving on the runway of a small airport one time. Came in the wrong gate and drove right up to the hanger. Poor guy on duty nearly had a heart attack. Plane had to circle as they escorted me off . When husband got off plane said I wouldn't have been late except some dumb woman was on the runway with her car. Had to confess it was me.
